Eco Run held at Okhla Bird Sanctuary on Global Mammal Big Day
In collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Ecotourism Development Board and the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department, the Global Wildlife Fair celebrated Global Mammal Big Day as a festival. An Eco Run was organized on October 5 at the Okhla Bird Sanctuary to raise awareness about wild mammals and bring people closer to nature.
Participants aged between 10 and 60 took part in the run. For many first-time runners, it was an extraordinary experience. Mammals play a crucial role in maintaining a healthy and balanced ecosystem. Many of them are facing threats today, making their conservation more urgent than ever. The Eco Run was organized with this very objective in mind.
The event proved to be a beautiful blend of nature, fitness, and joy. Participants enjoyed running amidst the natural surroundings and appreciated the serene environment of the sanctuary. The initiative successfully drew people’s attention toward the importance of appreciating and conserving mammalian species.
