On the occasion of Children’s Day, the Eco-Tourism Board conducted a special Vistadome safari for children
On the occasion of Children’s Day, the Uttar Pradesh Eco-Tourism Development Board organised a Vistadome Train Safari for members of the Yuva Tourism Club. Nearly 30 students from Government Inter Jubilee College, Lucknow participated. Under this initiative of the Board, the students experienced an exciting and unique journey through nature, forests, and wildlife.
The children were taken from Lucknow to Bichia by bus in the morning, from where their journey in the Vistadome coach began. Through the transparent glass and panoramic view of this special coach, the students witnessed the dense forests of the Terai region, lush grasslands, water bodies, and diverse wildlife from very close quarters. The journey started from Bichia (near Katerniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary) and continued till Mailani (the gateway to Dudhwa National Park).
For many children, this was the first time they experienced a wildlife landscape so closely. The special observation area of the coach made the experience even more memorable.
Dudhwa National Park is globally known for its biodiversity. It is home to tigers, rhinos, swamp deer, elephants, gharials, and several rare wildlife species. More than 450 species of birds are also found here. The Vistadome journey introduced the children to these natural treasures in an engaging way.
This trip, organised on Children’s Day, proved to be a powerful medium for learning, understanding, and connecting with nature. Many children described it as the most exciting and enlightening experience of their lives.
