    Saman Bird Sanctuary, Mainpuri, UP

    Saman Bird Sanctuary also serves as an important habitat for many migratory birds. Species found here include Common Teal, Northern Pintail, Great White Pelican, and various species of storks. Resident storks include Painted Stork, Black-necked Stork, Open-billed Stork, and Woolly-necked Stork.

    The sanctuary is well connected by road, rail, and air routes.

    To Reach:

    By Air:
    The nearest airport is Kheria Airport, Agra, located about 135 km away. From the airport, buses and taxis are available to reach the sanctuary.
    By Rail:
    The nearest railway station is Mainpuri Junction, situated on the Shikohabad–Farrukhabad branch line and only 5 km from the sanctuary.
    By Road:
    The sanctuary is located about 35 km from the Mainpuri district headquarters. Regular bus services are available from other cities to Mainpuri.
    Accommodation:
    For tourists, Forest Rest Houses as well as private hotels and lodges are available in Agra and Mainpuri.
