On the occasion of Uttar Pradesh Day and National Tourism Day, the Uttar Pradesh Department of Tourism organized various creative and educational activities under the Youth Tourism initiative on 24 January 2026 at Rashtriya Prerna Sthal, Lucknow, with the objective of engaging youth with tourism. The winners of these competitions were felicitated on 25 January 2026 by Hon’ble Minister for Tourism and Culture, Shri Jaiveer Singh.
In the storytelling workshop organized under the Youth Tourism initiative, Kavya Thakur (Loreto Convent Inter College, Lucknow) secured first position, followed by Medhansh Singh (St. Fidelis School) in second place and Mantavya (Lucknow Public School, Virat Khand, Gomti Nagar) in third place.
The quiz competition was conducted in two categories. In the category of Classes 6 to 8, Medhansh Srivastava (Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Goel Campus) secured first position, Samriddhi Verma (Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Barabanki) stood second, and Reyansh Pathak (St. Mary’s Inter College, Gomti Nagar) secured third position.
In the category of Classes 9 to 12, Abhiraj Mishra of Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Goel Campus secured first position, followed by Ujjwal Mishra in second place and Ojas Dixit in third place. Varad Pandey from City Montessori School, Mahanagar was also felicitated.
In the painting competition, students creatively depicted the rich tourism heritage of Uttar Pradesh through colors and imagination. Shabiha from St. Mary’s Inter College, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow secured first position, Ifra secured second position, and Yasmin secured third position.
