The Vistadome Coach offers a mesmerizing train journey through the pristine forests and rich biodiversity of the Terai region, connecting Bichia (near Katerniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary) to Mailani (gateway to Dudhwa National Park). Vistadome Coach

  • With large, wide windows on both sides and a viewing area on one end, a Vistadome coach is a special type of railway coach designed to enhance travel experience by offering panoramic views and greater passenger comfort, particularly on scenic routes.

Bichia – Mailani Railway Line

  • The Bichia - Mailani line is a meter gauge track, with a length of approximately 108 kms and passing through dense forests, grasslands, and wetlands of the Terai region.

Train Safari Through the Wild

Explore Bichia to Mailani via Dudhwa and Kishanpur

  • The tourists can pick and choose any station for their on-boarding and de-boarding, depending on the arrival and departure time given their place of stay and other factors such as transport arrangements, jungle safari (if booked) etc.
  • The train journey begins from Bichia (Katarniaghat), passes through Dudhwa and finally crosses Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary to reach Mailani, the last stop.
  • The enthusiastic tourists will be able to see various landscapes such as woodlands (forested areas), grasslands, marshy land, water bodies and farmlands along with the glimpses of rural establishments. As for animal sightings aboard the train safari, the explorers can expect to spot Deer, Nilgai, Monkeys and Peacocks.
  • Tourists can plan their on-boarding and de-boarding from the train on any of the stations mentioned above as per their convenience. It should also be noted that the network connectivity through the train journey is poor as the train passes through dense forests.
  • Hence, tourists should coordinate with their transport facilitator/travel operators/drivers clearly and should arrange their transport (pick-up/drop-off) accordingly.
